Q:

How bad does your credit record have to be before there’s no chance of getting any further credit?

A:

How long is a piece of string? The credit provider would gauge the risk and base this on your credit report, as well as income and expenses. So if your credit record is poor, showing lots of defaults, judgments and summonses, then most will not lend to you, but there maybe some lenders who will be happy to, but the interest rate will be high. If your credit record is poor, then taking more credit out is not going to solve the problem and a debt management solution such as debt review would be a better option.
