Good week

NCR and the South African Savings Institute: Festive season is right around the corner and we here at Justmoney know that this is the time where everybody tends to over indulge and we're not just talking about the Christmas food! NCR and SASI have teamed up to create a campaign to raise awareness and enoucouragee consumers to save instead of spend druing the festive season.

FNB and VISA: Are you surprised? FNB are in the good books again! This time for teaming up with VISA to launch their 8th annual card security week.

Bad week

Phishing: These phishers don't know when to stop. On Monday we recevied about three scam emails in less than an hour. Here is an example of one: http://ow.ly/i/5lSn Note the subject line. Scary. Absa: Unlucky week for Absa who were found to by one of South Africa's most expensive banks, according to Solidarity. The trade union is to move their accounts away from Absa.

Tax ombudsman: You might have heard about the tax ombudsman which will be introduced to South Africans soon but it might not be helpful to taxpayers.

Home insurers: A home is often the single most expensive asset that many people own, yet when it comes to insuring that asset too many people are prone to making serious mistakes..
