Free jobs browsing platform available through Vodacom

By Jessica Anne Wood

Thanks to Vodacom, you can now access career websites through its free jobs browsing platform NXT LVL (Next Level). Using NXT LVL does not consume data, however, according to the terms and conditions, a fair usage policy of 1GB per user per month applies.

“The cost of accessing employment opportunities online - which is often the costs of browsing the internet - is cited as a major stumbling block for job seekers in South Africa. To remove the cost burden, Vodacom has partnered with South Africa’s leading and most reputable career websites to launch the NXT LVL (pronounced Next Level) zero rated career website. The zero rated website will enable job seekers to browse job sites, upload their CV’s and apply for available positions free of charge when accessing Vodacom partner career sites,” explained Vodacom.

Using NXT LVL

This service is only available to Vodacom customers using a device with a Vodacom SIM. To make use of the platform, you simply visit the Vodacom website on your phone’s internet browser and follow the link to one of the career websites that Vodacom has partnered with. The partner sites include:

  •          PNet
  •          Career Junction
  •          Indeed
  •          Careers24
  •          JobMail
  •          CareerJet
  •          Giraffe
  •          Career Junction
  •          SA Learnerships

“By introducing this platform, Vodacom is aiming to enable customers to access job sites without worrying about the cost and in turn make a meaningful contribution in addressing unemployment. From here onwards, job seekers will be able to spend hours on the internet looking for jobs free of charge”, said Jorge Mendes, chief officer of consumer sales and distribution at Vodacom.

NXT LVL is part of a wider youth sub-brand that Vodacom has created. The aim is to enable youth to achieve their full potential by giving them access to education and career resources in an easy to access way.

Vodacom revealed: “NXT LVL will provide affordable products such as data centric bundles to ensure that South Africa’s youth are confidently connected and empowered at all times. NXT LVL will also offer free access to NXT LVL E-school for learners and NXT LVL Discover, our established graduate development programme.”

Mendes added: “For many of our customers, the NXT LVL career site will open up a new world of possibilities that makes finding a job more convenient and significantly more accessible.”
