FNB Easy Bundle (previously the FNB Easy Smart account)

The FNB Easy Smart account has given way to FNB Easy Bundle, offering even better value than its predecessor. Here’s the lowdown on this user-friendly account.

16 September 2024

The FNB Easy Bundle account is designed to make banking more convenient and straightforward. It is even more versatile than the FNB Easy Smart account, which it replaces, and offers many of the same features.

At just R69 a month, FNB Easy Bundle allows unlimited electronic transactions, including debit orders and electronic funds transfers (EFTs). You also earn interest if you maintain a positive balance of up to R7,000.

Whether you’re looking to deposit your salary, pay bills, or save for the future, FNB Easy Bundle offers a reliable way to work towards achieving your financial goals.

Tip: Check your credit score and see how you can make better money choices to improve your credit health.

How does the FNB Easy Bundle account work?

FNB Easy Bundle is a banking package that offers you a range of financial services at a reasonable rate.

The package includes:

  • A transaction account: This is typically the primary account used for daily transactions, such as paying bills, shopping, and transferring funds.
  • A debit card: The card is linked to your transaction account, allowing you to purchase at stores and withdraw cash from ATMs.
  • Online and mobile banking: You can manage your accounts, perform transactions, and access other banking services through FNB’s online and mobile banking platforms.
  • Discounted services: FNB Easy Bundle often offers discounts – for example, on ATM withdrawal fees, bank statements, and other transactions.
  • Bundled products: Depending on your specific package, the bundle may include additional financial products, such as credit cards, loans, or investment accounts.
  • A rewards programme: Some Easy Bundle packages may be linked to rewards programmes or generate loyalty points by using FNB products.

Is FNB Easy Bundle a savings account?

The FNB Easy Bundle account is not a savings account, but it does offer some savings-related benefits. For example, you can earn interest if you maintain a positive balance of up to R7,000.

Through FNB’s Bank Your Change feature, you can also save as little as R1 every time you swipe your FNB debit card.

What are the benefits of the FNB Easy Bundle account?

An outstanding feature of the FNB Easy Bundle account is that you enjoy unlimited free electronic transactions, including debit orders and EFTs.

Other benefits include:

  • A low barrier to entry (no minimum balance)
  • Convenience – use your card to shop, pay bills, transfer funds, and more
  • You get two eWallet sends a month on the FNB app at no extra cost
  • Earn monthly grocery vouchers of up to R100 when swiping your FNB Easy Debit card at Shoprite Checkers or Usave (R25 for a total monthly card spend of R250; R50 for a monthly card spend of R500 and salary deposit of R2,000 or more; and R100 for a monthly card spend of R1,000, a salary deposit of R2,000 or more, and any credit product or investment balance)
