Can you afford a travel rewards card? Use our free budget calculator to see if the Titanium card's fees and minimum income requirements fit your financial profile, and take control of your financial life.
The Standard Bank Titanium Credit Card is a mid-tier Mastercard designed for professionals, graduates, and frequent travellers who want substantial travel benefits without the high fees of premium cards. It sits between the entry-level Blue/Gold cards and the exclusive Platinum tier, offering an excellent balance of value and perks.
This card is particularly attractive for those who travel domestically or internationally several times per year. With complimentary airport lounge access, automatic travel insurance, and significant discounts on flights, hotels, and car rentals, the Titanium card can easily pay for itself through travel savings alone.
Credit limit and spending:
The Titanium Credit Card offers a credit limit of up to R250,000, depending on your income and credit profile. You can use your card for in-store purchases with chip and PIN, contactless tap-to-pay for amounts under R500, secure online shopping with 3D Secure verification, and international transactions wherever Mastercard is accepted. Credit limits can be adjusted on request based on your account history.
Interest-free period:
Standard Bank offers up to 55 interest-free days when you pay your full balance by the due date. This extended grace period gives you flexibility to manage cash flow while avoiding interest charges, provided you clear the balance monthly.
Monthly repayments:
Your minimum payment is 3% of your outstanding balance. However, carrying a balance means paying interest, which ranges from 11.75% to 22.25% depending on your credit profile. Smart cardholders pay in full each month to maximise the value of travel perks without interest costs eroding the benefits.
UCount rewards integration:
The Titanium Credit Card earns 3 times more UCount Rewards points compared to using a debit or cheque card. Points can be redeemed for fuel at Caltex and Astron Energy, shopping at rewards retailers, travel bookings, or contributions to savings and investment accounts.
Understanding how travel credit cards work can help you maximise benefits while using them responsibly.
