Econometer ticks up as analysts expect recovery to start next year

South African economic confidence picked up last month as economists foresaw conditions turning for the better next year, but the Reuters Econometer remained below the key 200 mark, suggesting that the immediate outlook is still bleak.

Economics is about swings and trends, things go up, peak, crash, correct, and repeat. The trick is to know where in the cycle you are and how to best buffer yourself and your wealth from the movement of the market.
