Less people get a summons this quarter

Civil actions for debt decrease

The total number of civil summonses issued for debt for the second quarter of this year decreased 9,1% compared with the second quarter of last year , Statistics SA said yesterday.
Justmoney.co.za says:
One possible reason for the reduction in summonses is over indebted consumers getting a debt manager, people are consolidating their debt and protecting their assets in a tough economic environment.
