This Voting Day (3 August 2016), UberSA is encouraging all South Africans to go out and vote, by offering customers discounted rides to and from polling stations.
UberSA announced: “The #2016MunicipalElections give South Africans an opportunity to make a mark that influences their future. Your vote is your voice!”
How it works:
- Open the Uber app and enter the promo code, VOTESA, in the promotion tab.
- When you’re ready to get voting, request your ride.
- Get up R30 off your trip to your voting station and up to R30 when heading back home afterwards.
The fine print:
- Riders must enter the code VOTESA to get up to R30 off their next two rides
- The promotion is open to both new and existing Uber riders in Johannesburg, Ekurhuleni, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban and Port Elizabeth.
- The code will apply between 7:00 and 21:00 on Wednesday, 3 August 2016.
